that this kernel will only boot SMP on Origin; the UP kernel freeze
soon after bootup with SCSI timeout messages. I commit this anyway
since I found that the last CVS versions had the same problem.

The new signal code with exception of the code for the rt signals.
The definitions in <asm/siginfo.h> and <asm/ucontext.h> are currently
just stolen from the Alpha and will need to be overhauled.
