Ignore "compile" file.
automake 1.14 will install this file into the top directory with
"automake --add-missing" and complain if it's missing:
$ automake
configure.ac:10: error: required file './compile' not found
configure.ac:10: 'automake --add-missing' can install 'compile'
$
